on malaya's bday :3

The house smelled immaculate, if Dakila did say so himself. He had not held back on a matter of dinner, as usual getting somewhat carried away when he had the reason and chance to cook for someone he knew would appreciate it. Especially since this was all about spoiling her. Food, company, and a little gift in a medium sized back he left on the coffee table. No good if he got so wrapped up in spending time with her that he forgot to give her what he'd gone out of his way for.

His anticipation for the fox's arrival was high. She felt no different to his kingly senses now that she was a rogue, but when she actually arrived that would be different. Not that it affected how he felt about her.

He had the door open before she even got out of her truck.

"Happy birthday!" he called to her as she exited the cab. Had already texted her that this morning, but it was good to say it as many times as one could without going overboard.

Look, but plaid shirt is on

Malaya had only just stepped out of the cab when she saw and heard Dakila at the door. She smiled at the sight of him, genuinely so pleased to do something so normal and fun for her birthday.

She had received a nice message from Choraka already too, which was kind of her. Hadn't told her she left the skulk yet. Too soon. She was focusing on good things today.

"Thank you!" Called back to Dakila with a laugh. He'd already told her this by text but she loved it all the same. Loved him, too.

Made her way up the drive with her backpack and some drinks in a tote that hung off her shoulder. Stepped closer to greet him, the fox relieved to be in his presence again too. She wrapped her arms around him first, needing to be closer for a moment, getting those familiar flashes of his wolf in her mind's eye.

Pulled back a little just to smile up at him.

"Hi."
