-Born in Punjab, India. Her father was a Physical Therapist, and her mother was a seamstress. Made perfect grades in school, and developed an obsession with perfection from an early age.
-Though she had earned a scholarship to IIM-B, a top ranking Business school, she decided to move to New York City (with her parents’ support) at the age of seventeen to pursue training at ARROJO Cosmetology Institute.
-She succeeded with flying colors (pun intended), and soon landed a job in a high-end salon. She became well known, and found a best friend in one of her clients.
-On her 23rd birthday, after a night out on the town, Valerie and Vidya were on the way home when a drunk driver swerved into the sidewalk and struck Vidya. Valerie, in desperation to save her friends’ life, had no choice but to infect her.
-The next few months were strenuous. It was hard to maintain a precise, under control lifestyle with a two hundred and fifty pound animal living inside you and jumping at any chance to break free.
-But like with everything Vidya does, she overcame the challenge and mastered the beast. Or, has started to anyway.
-The two lived together in NYC until the vampire announcement. With tensions high and job opportunities in Ridgefield, Vidya decided to make the move.
-Vidya settled in Ridgefield, attended an online course for a certification in business, and established her own salon in Hawknell, which has since moved to Alameda to serve as the hub for the local Prowl.

-Vidya participates in belly dancing and traditional Punjabi Folk Dance in her free time.
-She has a distinct Punjabi dialect.
