Dog Run Puppy Teeth
#1

Fit Evening time, still some sun out. with this Cutie

Zara loved giving both her pups one-on-one time. With Momo only three months old though, she needed to give Chaucer a break with all her puppy teething antics. The pitty loved his new companion, but a puppy was a puppy.

She had her attached to a long leash that looped around her waist so she could sit, holding treats, reading puppy training tips.

It had been a while, she'd been handling the quiet life decently, so, she kept on now with being a dog mom.

Momo, had been unnaturally still for an energetic pup, so, looking up from her book, she saw the sneaky pup having snagged someone's bag for one reason or another. A habit she was trying to get her to break, and gnawing on the strap in secret, "Momo! Drop that! " Zara sighed, getting up to the pup who bolted, leaving the bag, the leash keeping her from going far as she picked up the bag and handed it back to the person, "Apologies, she's teething- any damages? "

Fit

Ronan was back.

It wasn’t his fault that the sandwiches here were so good. It also wasn’t his fault that dogs apparently had some sort of beef with him that he hadn’t known about.

Second visit and while it was one less dog than last time, he found himself being singled out all the same.

The beast grumbled, but it wasn’t towards the dog that his attention lay. It was to the owner instead, one that was offering apologies as she returned to him his bag. Noted the book in her hand, and released a heavy sigh in an attempt to release the building tension in his shoulders.

”No worries.” A look over the bag as he took it into his own hand. ”Just a bag.”

But it wasn’t just that was is? It never was.

The hell was that smell?

Zara always took a small breath when meeting new people, and this man, smelt like an animal but nothing she ever smelt. Not once. That was odd and new. She still kept a calm and composed look about her as she returned the bag.

"Still, I am teaching her to not teeth on everything. If you need a replacement, I have no qualms in using the venmo to send you something to cover it, " just to make sure she didn't accidentally make unwelcome friends with a new were group in town.
#4
He didn’t need a replacement.

It still functioned the way that it was meant to, but if the woman was going to continue on insisting. ”You’re free to do what you want.” He shrugged, ”but I’m really fine.” A Venmo would be given if he was asked a third time, because even pride could not outweigh the need for money.
#5
Zara would accept that as Momo trotted on back up, sitting, tail wagging while eyeing the bag.

She sighed, her head shaking at the pup, "She is a good girl...I just forgot how much they teeth like toddlers, " she said with a little frown. "Do you have a dog her? " just friendly conversation as she crouched, holding onto Momo's collar to keep her from getting interested in that bag again.

Sounded like dogs were a lot of work, and Ronan had a hard enough time taking care of the one that lived within his own head. Didn’t need the responsibility of another creature to torment his life when it pleased.

Didn’t need anything to help him chew shit up when it got bored either

”Nah, no dog.” He answered with a shake of his head. ”Live nearby and like the sandwiches here.” And the company.
#7
"They smell good," shebsaid in agreement as she stroked the head of her dog. Ruffling the black of her ear.

"Been coming here often then? Any sandwich you recommend?"not for her but she'd get it made dog safe for her pups.
#8
He wouldn’t say that he came here often, but he did have a recommendation. One that the nibling had provided him, and one that he was eating now.

”It’s called the, uh, double bacon, ham with cranberry relish.”
#9
"Double bacon- now that does sound amazing," she told him with a small smile.

"If you dont mind the pry, of course you can tell me to mind my own business, what sort of shifter are you? I can't recal meeting one with your unique scent," it was said out of pure curiosity to what he is. If he didn't want to answer that was fine by her.
#10
He didn’t mind revealing his animal to other Weres, but when it came to vampires it was a little iffy. Why did she want to know? There wasn’t much benefit to her for the answer. It was not as if she had a creature walking about within her own mind.

Only curious, or was there another reason?

”I’ll tell you if you tell me how old you are.” He offered instead, didn’t really care about her age but-

Equivalent exchange and all that nonsense.
#11
A small chuckle, fair was fair.

"Two hundred and twenty-five years old, don't look a day over twenty-five though," she said with a relaxed tone, a touch playful because she wasn't shy about her age.

His turn now.
#12
She could be lying. He wouldn’t know any better.

Lady looked just as she said, not a day over twenty-five. Could have claimed herself three thousand, and Ronan would just have to assume it true.

But the same could be said for his animal.

”Wolverine.” He supplied, honest. ”Haven’t met anyone else like me here.” Which was good. Needed it to stay that way.
#13
Wolverine.

Now that was a unique one.

" Neither have I. And I'd been settled in this place for a while...met bears, jaguars, coyotes, wolves, foxes...not a wolverine, " Zara said with a nod of her head, truly impressed. It was rare to be surprised, but she loved it.
#14
All animals that he’d been told about. No new information here, but Ronan wasn’t necessarily looking for information about Weres from a vampire.

”Prefer that way,” he nodded. ”Already hung around my kind for long enough, good to get a break from all that.”

Yeah, that was the reason he’d left. A break.
#15
Zara sat down on the ground, Momo climbing in her lap, she held her, petting her as she just stretched it slightly from crouching.

"I feel that, " she told him with a nod.

"Sometimes, being on your own, better than anything so you can be without the eye of others, " Zara mused, playing with the pups ears gently.

She did miss vampires, don't get her wrong. She missed her friends, but so much happened, that it was hard at times to even go back.
#16
A nod of his head.

”Don’t mind other Weres.” Honestly preferred them over humans and vampires, no offense lady. ”But when you’re the same animal it comes with its own slew of problems and expectations.”

It was easier to blame expectation for his lack of motivation. Easier to claim that was why he didn’t want any other wolverines around.
#17
"It does? Thought things were easier with other weres, " it was her assumption at least.

She was a vampire, what did she really know of how the inner workings of were groups went? She had no animal, just was dead as a doornail watching time trickle on.
#18
"For some," he answered with a shrug. "But not always, wolverines tend to be more solo." Not completely a lie, though the magic had certainly made it much easier for them to work things out.

Human brains too.
#19
"That must make it easier then...I've heard some thrive in groups- others solo, " she mused out, "If you are looking for others, at least the steadiest I know of, there is a wolf pack in Starling Hills, the King there knows a fair bit of the were community if you ever felt the itch for finding others, " She offered.

Just a helping hand.

And let the wolves deal with that possible chaos.

At least he wasn't a bear.
#20
He wouldn’t be solo if he was out here looking for others, now would he?

”I have a friend that’s been keeping me in the loop of things.” Levi was a friend right? He felt like he was. Been a while since he had one of those that wasn’t-

Yeah.

”Appreciate the info though.”
