He looked so hesitant, but permission was given and Ronny really wanted to bring this power back into a better light for the man.

It didn’t sound fun hating your whole power, ”okay so how did you get it to work this last time?”

"I... pushed the sand away in my mind, and there were shapes. Stay away from the bright red one."

A nod of his head, and Ronny would reach out for the other’s hand once more, wanting to replicate everything that the other had done to make sure that he got the power to work properly this time.

Closed his eyes as they pulled silver and did his best to imagine the second power within. Imagined himself digging through sand towards this new power, and… Were those colors or was he just thinking a little too hard.

Tapped against the first non-red color that he could find.

At the moment this clicked into place, Zeph smiled. Serenity and accomplishment coursing through him... for no reason.

"Emotions. It's emotions." He let out.

Feeling very proud of himself for having figured it out!

The pride would bleed right back into Ronny, whose eyes immediately opened up right alongside a grin, ”wow yes!!” Might have felt embarrassed about his own emotions if pride hadn’t currently been coursing through his veins in that moment.

”This is such a neat power when you actually know what it is!”

They were feeding off each other and it was technically worrisome.

But actually he was so proud of them both!!

"That's what it was! The off feeling I had, it's because I had other people's emotions!"

Which he would normally groan and bitch about but that was just so impressive!!

Eyes back to brown as Ronny gave equally excited nods of his head, it was so amazing when everything finally clicked into place!

Questions finally answered!

”You’re a total empath now!”

Abrupt emotion end, and he would flop back on the couch, feeling as if he just worked a full shift.

"As long as I don't make people weirdly into me, it should be fine." He sighed.

A slightly embarrassed laughed for that statement, hand running through his hair.

”Yeah, sorry about that.” What did that say about him? Probably nothing good.

"No, it's... not your fault. No need to apologize when you're here and you help out."

Little smile of his own.

"I guess it, uh, makes existing stuff bigger."

YIKES WHY DID HE PHRASE IT LIKE THAT.

If Ronny wasn’t feeling embarrassed by the fact that his feelings had been completely exposed, he might have jumped at the oppurtunity that had been presented before him.

As it were, Ronny was still dying from that whole thing.

Just internally.

”Can definitely expose you if you’re not careful with it, that’s for sure.” Thankfully, in most cases, it would be Zephyr with the power to expose rather than the other way around.

"So I guess, uh, thanks for the help and the compliment?"

Embarrassed chuckles.

”Of course,” Ronny answered with a shake of his head. ”I’ll do both any time you like,” because he hadn’t been lying about the whole hot things.

”Thanks for bearing with me through that, but if you ever want to practice again just let me know. It’s fun exploring other powers.”

"Yeah, sure, next time will be less scary." Zeph commented. "And, uh, you're hot too."

That last part barely audible but still there.

The smile turned more full for the compliment, Ronny’s brow raising in interest as his head gave a teasing tilt.

”Mutual attraction is the best attraction,” he hummed. ”But are sure it’s not just he magic talking still? I know my emotions came on a bit strong there.”

Voice lowered to match his.

"Maybe. Guess you'll have to come back another day so we can be sure." Zeph retorted with a little smirk.

”Guess so,” Ronny chuckled. ”I’m already looking forward to it, and I haven’t even left yet.”

"Good. Maybe there will be cookies next time."

Zephyr was really making it hard to resist returning.

”If it wouldn’t be too insulting, I can bring coffee next time too.” Rival cafes and all. ”I’m a barista for a local cafe in Alameda, so it won’t be bad.” Scouts honor.

"I wouldn't be insulting, but I might try to steal the recipe." He replied, playful.

Truly a man after his own heart, ”oh then I’ll definitely have to make it a challenging one.” Ronny decided, ”don’t want you figuring it out on the first cup.”
