Chupacabras pump that jam while I'm gettin down

outfit without shades

A large tip had come in from OnlyFans and Kevin decided to treat himself to a club night. Donned in a pair of jeans he stole from his brother and a shirt he already had, he headed to Chupacabras to get the night started right. Drink in hand, he caught the eye of a lady dancing and started to make his way to her when suddenly-

Kirssshhh

Kevin's eyes darted to the puddle of what was, tragically, a $14 cocktail. He hadn't dropped it. It just—phased? One second he was holding it, the next it had ghosted through his hand like bad Wi-Fi, reappearing mid-air to explode across the floor near someone’s shoes.

Kevin stared at his own hand like it had betrayed him. "What the fuuuck?" he whispered, looking up from the ground. Anyone nearby looking may see his pink eyes slowly fading back to brown.

Look

Matilda didn't want to be at a club. Loud noise, bodies dancing, and drunk people felt like the antithesis of what she needed after Dani's departure. After growing into her own as a vampire. After losing a clutch member.

But it had been several days since she last fed, and Matilda was starting to get a little fangry about it. Nothing she couldn't handle of course. At least it wasn't a new moon.

It did mean that she was on the hunt, looking for someone to feed from as kindly as she could manage. She heard the glass shatter next to her shoes and looked up to see a man with pink eyes. Or were they brown? A psychic? It was too hard to tell with all of the bodies in the nightclub but the eye colour was a giveaway. He definitely wasn't a vampire or a were.

"You alright?" She asked over the loud music.

Ugh. This sucked. Kevin knew he’d have to get someone to clean up the mess, but it was hard to get anyone to pay attention to him for a moment so he could explain the puddle and glass.

But there was a voice suddenly reaching out to him. He turned to see some older lady there- weird, but whatever middle aged people could party too he supposed. "Yeah, can you keep people out of the mess while I track someone down?" he nearly yelled back, given the loud thumping of music and dancing.
#4
Keep people out of the mess? If she was better at her new power or a crueler vampire, she might have used it to cloak the mess on the ground. As it stood, she was left to guard it? It was probably a good idea, considering there was broken glass on the foor. Didn't need anyone bleeding when she was already so hungry.

"Alright!" She gestured for him to go, hoping he'd return. It had been a long time since she'd had psychic blood.
#5
The woman would be in luck! It wouldn’t take Kevin long to track someone down to tell them about the mess. A little lie was told about some big ass fuckboy nearly mowing him down to get nearer and flirt with girls that were clearly out of his league.

The worker had still sighed heavily, but grabbed the necessary equipment and followed Kevin over to get it cleaned up.

Kevin left him to it, instead deciding to focus on the older woman. "Anyone wander through it?" he questioned, hoping the answer was going to be no.
#6
Matilda debated leaving in those few minutes it took for the man to return with an employee. Finding someone else. Going somewhere else.

But they returned before she could commit to a decision and Tilda shook her head.

"No," She answered as she stepped out of the way.

"Sorry about your drink, mate." She eyed him. "Did someone bump into you or something?" She'd seen his eyes change, so he had to have done something. But what?
#7
Kevin considered the question for a few seconds; probably too long to for it to not be noticeable. "Yeah," he lied. "Some guy too big for his brain ran into me."

Since he was going to lie about it, he figured it be a good idea to stick with what he’d told the other guy. "Sucks because the drinks here are stupid expensive."
#8
He seemed... quiet for a moment. Thinking? Hesitating? Maybe he was confused. Didn't know what he'd done. But then he replied, blaming a guy for bumping into him and spilling his drink.

"Damn, that does suck." Tilda could agree with that at least. But um.

"Do you want another?" She asked, not partaking in anything herself, though maybe she'd order something for the ruse of it all. Unless she was just honest with the guy? She'd wait and see.
#9
Was this woman a cougar or something? If she was, Kevin decided he’d go along with it. Free drinks were always nice. So was company.

He gave a smile. "I wouldn’t say no to another one."
#10
Alright. Drinks then!

"Let's go order then," She offered with a wave at the bar behind them. Tilda made her way over, not realizing how it looked to be buying someone a drink. It'd been a long time since she had.

"What would you like?"
#11
Kevin wasn’t above taking advantage of the generosity of strangers, but cocktails came in certain glasses and ordering the alcohol heavy Long Island Iced Tea would look suspicious in a taller glass than the vodka sour he had.

So, "I had a vodka sour," he said nonchalantly. He gave a quirk of a grin though. "But you’re more than welcome to get me anything you want."
#12
To get him anything she wanted?

That's when it dawned on her.

"Oh! Sorry, that wasn't like... I wasn't flirting." Sorry!!! "Not that you're not-" Yup. "I'm just not looking for that tonight." She had other plans in mind?
#13
Kevin often didn’t expect what would come next from people, but what came next out of the woman was even less than he’d expected.

Her embarrassment radiated off of her and attached to Kevin and he found himself blushing as well since he’d assumed she was cougaring the joint.

If he was a little bit smoother, he probably could’ve saved himself at least, but he was still young and dumb.

"Oh, uh, it’s fine! It’s fine," he said quickly, looking away from the woman to see if there was a way for him to escape without looking like an asshole.
#14
Oh shoot. Tilda, you made things weird!

Or did he?

Um. Ahhhh???

"I sort of had? Another idea?" She began, trying to save the situation. Or make it worse by accident. Who knew!
#15
What, wait?? Another idea?? Kevin was very lost. The embarrassment at least edged away as he looked at her in confusion.

"Okay- like what?" Was this her way of trying to make friends?? Kevin really had no clue.
#16
"Well. Um?" God. So awkward.

"I kind of need blood?" Would he get what she was getting at or did that sound really fucking creepy?

"I'm a vampire." Probably not the way Catrina would prefer things but Tilda had a hard time not being honest with folks.
#17
For the record, it sounded really creepy. And the addition of what she was didn’t help.

"Uhh…" he started, taking a small step away from her. This had never been asked of him. And he didn’t really know what a good answer was.

But you know- money was always a good incentive. "Well, h-how much money are you willing to spend?" The little crack in his voice betrayed any sort of confidence he may have held; not that he figured he had looked very confident to start with.
#18
Hm. Yeah. She was scaring him. Oops! It happened sometimes. Well, a lot really. Matilda hated it and she grimaced.

But then he followed up with money, and Tilda took a breath to calm herself. Habit.

"Would fifty do?"
#19
Fifty. It felt like a low offer but Kevin couldn’t actually be sure. This was the first time he’d be doing this, if he agreed.

And maybe haggling with a vampire wouldn’t be the best thing to do anyway. She could just attack him for free.

"Yeah, okay," he said. "Money upfront though?" It felt like it’d be really easy for her to do what she wanted and then not pay.
#20
Money upfront worked. Matilda nodded and handed it over from her wallet.

"Want to go outside?" She suggested, trying to keep things light despite the request from her. She knew there was an obvious power imbalance here. But she was hungry. Necessary evil, really.
#21
The money was handed over and Kevin pocketed it easily. God, like this was some fucking drug deal. He wasn’t perfect by any means, but he never went out looking for a dealer. Never wanted to get caught up in that sort of situation.

And yet, here he was. A blood dealer apparently.

The question came and Kevin frowned. No, he did NOT want to go outside. In the dark. Away from people. With the vampire maybe lusting for his blood. But they couldn’t like do this in the club either.

"Yeah, alright," he said with a nod. "Lead the way." No way in hell was he gonna walk out with her at his back.
#22
Tilda did lead the way, aware that the man might try to lose her in the crowd. She wouldn’t chase him down if he did, content to be out $50 if it meant he did what he needed.

But if he did follow her, she’d lead him toward the exit, until she greeted the outdoors. She’d continue to walk, heading to a quieter place if allowed and turned to see if he was still behind her.
#23
There was a moment when Kevin thought about disappearing in the crowd, but he'd barely spent any time there that night and wanted to waste more time there. Surely if he wandered off, she'd eventually track him down.

So, he followed her, out the exit and a little further away, the club music getting just a little quieter with each step. When she turned to look back at him, he was there, eyebrows raised. "This a good spot?" he asked, as though he knew what was good or not.
#24
Matilda had a look around and nodded, feeling sheepish about this whole ordeal. But. It was necessary. At least she was trying her best to make sure he was comfortable.

"Yes, this'll work. Is there anything you'd like to know about the process before?" She asked quietly but firmly in his corner on this. Well, as much as she could be while still needing to feed from him anyway. Her brain drifted to Catrina and what she might think of her methods, then she put it out of her mind. It was the only way she felt okay about it.
#25
Oh, that was actually a nice question to ask. As scared as Kevin was, it did help ease him down a little. He looked at her and absently brought his hand up to his mouth to gnaw at a nail. Nervous habit.

"Will it hurt?" he asked in a very soft voice. He was sure that would be a common question if she allowed most people the chance to ask. But he had no clue how any of this actually worked.
#26
Matilda noticed the soft tone. The fingernail biting. He was nervous and Matilda hated that she'd made him feel that way. Her expression softened considerably despite the ache in her gums and she shook her head.

"No, you won't feel any pain. Just a prick and then it'll be a little numb."

She was open to any other questions, if there were any?
