Seven didn’t hide her viper’s smile at the satisfaction that the next time she spoke to Crystal, it would be to bring two more women to her side. It was an easy task she’d assigned for herself, and she was certain Crystal would see it as an indispensable ability.
Riddhi introduced herself, and Seven committed the name to memory. She was out of the pair the one Seven needed to recruit most of all. Whatever risk there was to taking the border of the older clutch, Seven intended to remain unscathed by placing herself cozily under the skirts of a more powerful vampires.
Devin was just an added bonus. Someone fun to play with. Best of both worlds, really.
“Give me your numbers.” Seven said without introducing herself, instead producing her phone and handing it over to both women to enter their numbers in. After a few quick swipes, they received a single text in a group thread.
Pocketing her phone, she said,
“You will hear from me soon. For now, best we go our separate ways.” Her fingers waved dismissively at them, shooing them along with a wink.
If they didn’t stop her, she’d disappear down the nearest side street.
