What the heck is this? It's a game where you work with your friends to create a monster over the course of seven rounds!
How does it work?- Round 1: Someone draws a blob. They can add color if they want! At the end of their post, they'll say something like, "I think the monster needs..." and then lists a specific body part or prop. This can be anything: eyes, a mouth, a nose, legs, feet, hands, toes, hair, shoes, lipstick, more eyes, a torso, a neck, another torso, a toy, a snack, a background, wings! If you can come up with it, you can request it. Just try to keep requests simple so that they don't include a lot of features at once: ex. request a mouth, not a face.
- Rounds 2-6: The next person draws that feature, then posts a picture of the updated creature! At the end of their post, they make their own request for what feature they'd like next. "I think the monster needs..."
- Round 7: You've got a big responsibility! Draw in the last feature, then announce to everyone the name of the monster! The game then starts over with another person hopping in with a new blob for round one.
But I'm not a good artist! This is about heart, not skill! As long as you put in your best effort, you're playing the game perfectly. Drawings can be done on a computer, phone, tablet, or even printed out and scanned back in.
Any other rules I should care about?- All art should be your own, no parts copy/pasted from the internet, please!
- Don't fully draw over someone else's details or revise any part of the creature (so don't completely cover a creature's face with a mask, but it's okay if wings or a tail or something similar somewhat cover other body parts!)
- Be sure to note what round it is in your post
- HAVE FUN or else
If you'd like to do a round, post a quick claim ("I'd like to draw this!") so we don't have multiple people drawing the same feature. Then, when you're ready to share your creation (within 24 hours, plz), replace that post with the following:
