Thread prompts

We have an FC thread so I figured, why not a writing prompts thread, especially instead of just hoarding them in a notebook for myself?

These are simply concept prompts for possible threads! I struggle with openers so I wanted a repository of what ideas do come to me, and y'all are welcome to share below if you have an abundance of ideas!

• I wasn't going to get a pet but I stopped at the shelter just to look and now a dog/cat has fallen asleep on me
  
• I already own a dog and was taking it for a walk but it pulled its leash out of my hand sorry!!
  
• Hey I think you dropped this (wallet, keys, any other thing)
  
• I misheard the barista and thought they called my name and accidentally started sipping your drink
  
• I'm trying to go grocery shopping but it's an Aldi and I forgot a quarter
  
• Higher stakes: I rear-ended you (as lightly or I guess violently a you want?!) and now it's a whole thing
  
• Hey this package got delivered to me but it has your name and address on it neighbour
  
• Family characters: my kid/niece/nephew is selling cookies will you buy some (or world's finest chocolate, or whatever normal schools sold which probably wasn't crates of apples like we did)
  
• I'm at a sports bar and I have opinions on the game that's happening that night
  
• I'm at a comedy club and you're the rando sharing a table with me (bonus points if you're brave enough to be on stage)
  
• Solo or group: Hey can you a take a picture of me/us for this occasion/in front of this thing/et cetera
  
• Short and tall: I can't reach the highest shelve hello random tall(er) stranger can you please get that down for me before I climb the store racks like a monkey
