History
Raised in Hokkaido, Japan. Takeshi does not know where he was born or who is parents were. Adopted by his grandparents, they kept the past of their daughter and her lover a secret in hopes to shield him from both bad memories and resentment. It did not work.
Takeshi had always been a big kid, and this often caused trouble for him with his classmates, whether it be rumors that were spread, or boys that used Takeshi in an effort to boost their own social standings. Fights were not uncommon whether Takeshi started them or not.
After a particularly bad fight, and a notice from the school, Takeshi's grandparents would send him to Kobe one of the few districts that were willing to take him in with the reputation that he'd earned.
A new school did not help with the fighting, and it continued to increase well until Takeshi had reached middle school. It was here that Takeshi embraced the path that had been forced upon him and fell into bad crowds. These bad crowds would lead him into making a mistake that would change his life forever.
Picking a fight with the wrong guy, it was only through the mercy of Watanabe that Takeshi was pulled into an organization instead of facing an alternative fate. No other options before him, it was easy to fall in line and do as he was told.
Did many things he's not proud of sold drugs, guns and even people. Beat and killed who he was told, and used his build as a means of intimidation against those much weaker. Cared little for the task that was given and enjoyed the money that he brought it.
It was easier doing as he was told, easier to float through his life and follow the path that he felt was expected of him. No one saw much in him, and he did not either, at least this way he could be admired for his strength and lack of emotions. No one else ever seemed to appreciate it, or didn't until he met Keiko.
She was bright, fun, and she had a very large debt that she owed. He'd only happened upon her by chance, and while she'd been insufferable at first, Takeshi quickly found himself relaxing in her presence. She did not treat him like others did.
Comfort turned to love, and when it was announced that the organization would be sending her to Tokyo to start repaying her debt in a more lucrative manner, Takeshi couldn't take it. Once again, he'd find himself making another big mistake, only this time it would not only be his life that altered.
Keiko would not be making it to Tokyo, or anywhere else by the end of it. Bad decisions made left her dead, and Takeshi's heart broken. It was no surprise to anyone when he chose to leave, no surprise that he had taken his punishment with the same stone face that he always did, even when it was old fashioned and barbaric. A punishment that the organization claimed was for them, while in Takeshi's heart, he claimed it was for what he'd done to Keiko. Or hadn't done.
Face known, it was hard to settle back into normal life in Japan. He would move to Hawaii instead, where plenty of Japanese lived, but also where opportunity lay. He'd learn English and managed to find some stability for a few years, but like every other time, that stability would be destroyed with a bad choice.
He'd been trying to be good, had thought he was helping when he'd pushed back against what he'd thought had been a mugging, had not noticed that this one had fangs, it had ended with the owner dead and Takeshi blamed for the incident entirely. Had he not intervened maybe the man would have lived, maybe not.
Security cameras would prove his innocence, but rumors had already been spread and his face had been plastered, he could not remain here and so he would find himself traveling from one state to another. Coming with intentions of settling, and leaving whenever trouble arose be it Were, vampire or humans. Takeshi had no luck when it came to any of them.
He has finally made his way to Colorado, where he continues to hope that things can be different.
