Power/Animal Description
- Invisibility - Possessed since he was a child, Mingmo is exceptionally good at making himself disappear. He can do it in bits and pieces, but usually just goes full bore--himself and anything he's wearing, gone easy, including scent and sound. He cannot currently disappear anyone else unless he's got them in a full body embrace, and if he's feeling tired he's liable to leave held objects visible, too. He has a vague awareness that he can still be 'spied out' metaphysically and would like to put an end to that, but hasn't sorted out how.
- If he's not rested well, invisibility is harder to maintain. He may accidentally make himself more translucent than invisible if he's over tired. And if he pushes it too hard, he has a rather narcoleptic response to it all--first getting drowsy and then falling asleep, literally on his feet or otherwise. This puts an immediate end to any attempt at being invisible.
- Mimicry - Much more recent in terms of powers, mimicry has unlocked a whole new world for Mingmo. He is obsessed and is deeply frustrated by how reliant it is on others in order to master it. His powers are a direct copy of whomever's he is copying, from quirks to side effects. For him, side effects may be more severe or quick to show up if he has less experience with the particularly ability overall.
- In tandem with his mimicry, he's actually very good at picking up on other supernaturals in the typical psychic way. For him, the other person registers as an orange warmth he is drawn toward. Usually this person will have a power he can pluck. Sometimes, though... not so much.

- Not too short, dark haired, well kempt. Not a beard in sight. Fairly slight build.
- Dresses his age, really likes jackets and coats.
- Near sighted and typically can be seen in dark rimmed glasses.
- Always wearing his silver wedding band.
- Got them good facial expressions and thus, easy to read.
- Has a distinct accent that he's whittled down over the years but really never cared to get rid of entirely. Probably couldn't anyway.
Personality
- Choleric personality type - high intensity, short tempered, demanding, but oh so enthusiastic. He's even capable of being encouraging!
- Quitters are intolerable.
- Though he’s prone to episodes of melancholy when things don’t go his way, the next mood swing is always around the corner.
- Keeps a notebook of everything he’s come across and whatever he could glean about it, written in a mix of languages as the mood moves him.
History
- Born in Shanghai, China in 1971. One older brother, two very attentive and demanding parents.
- When he was very young he started disappearing. His parents could never seem to find him and it was a source of distress and frustration for a lot of his younger years. Especially because they'd later find him, fast asleep, in places they had definitely already looked. Almost like he'd been invisible, but that's just not possible!
- He figured out it very much was possible, and eventually would learn to use it more willfully as a teenager, but he never told on himself.
- When he hit his 20's, the family decided he would pursue education in America. One of his uncles already lived there in a good college town, so he lived with him.
- Eventually Mingmo got a job in marketing in a small suburb of Montpelier, Vermont. He lived there, got married, had kids... Eventually discovered his ability to mimic the strange powers of others in 2019. This was significantly more interesting than his job.
- This also made him hate living where he was living after a few years of having this power, because there were not enough people for him to draw magic from. So he got a new job, called it a step up to anyone who asked, and moved himself and his wife to Colorado.
- She doesn't really know about his ulterior motives to sniff out every single power he can.
Other
- Has had a Russian Tortoise for the last 25 years. Her name is 小石头 "xiǎo shítou", which means 'little pebble'
- Mingmo means "bright ink," indicative of his parents desire for him to write a brilliant life story.
