History

Early life

Born in Australia, in a family that wasn't exactly a good environment
Picked up some DIY skills while helping out other people in the neighborhood
First job was retail in the local mattress store
Saved up and left home with a group of friends who wanted to backpack around the world
Made sure to send postcards to his little sister, hoping she wouldn't be too mad at him for leaving her behind

The Foxening

After missing the flight home with his friends due to helping out an old lady find her gate at the airport, decided to continue further into Asia by himself
Stumbled upon the funniest looking fox in the Himalayas who didn't take kindly to be asked WHAT ARE YOU?, got bitten on his right arm and infected, took it in stride, now he's got a best friend for life
Returned to Australia a few months later with a sense of what he wanted to do and some fox awareness
Got a degree in carpentry and took some basic architecture classes on the side
Also got into two distinct toxic relationships with much larger weres, don't try this at home, mates!
Basically fled the whole country to put distance between him and the people who didn't have his best interests at heart
Filled the paperwork and joined Dove in Colorado
Bought a mattress store in Lauderhill and renovated the second floor into one half escape room, other half small were playground

2024: First Steps in Colorado

Met Yujin at the Valentine 2024 and this would be the first of many adorable dates
Met his first fox in the swamp in February and would only meet him in person after they both got defeated at Fight Night
This friendship turned out to be instrumental in getting Matti to be more confident, both directly and indirectly as he ended up advocating for himself more in response to Waylin's occasional temper
When Malaya got in town, first talks of a group happened, and a tense full moon with a jaguar encounter solidified them as a trio
After a rocky start with Bree, she moved from 'Waylin's girlfiend' to 'friend' in her own right, earning herself an interview titled 'A weresomething dates a weresomething else', this elevating her to a confidant level
Moved with Yujin in his Valencia penthouse in the summer and briefly curbed his workaholic tendencies
The dramatic Breelin breakup and later argument ended up making him get closer to both of them, and he's grateful to this day that none of them asked him to pick a side
Waylin leaving the county was the catalyst for more growth, and after an intense 'welcome home' spar, Matti learned he had the potential for hybrid form

2025

A tip from Dakila sent Matti and Waylin on a rogue fox hunt which would result in meeting Jasper and offering assistance
At the next catching up session between the foxes, the notion of matebond was brought up, to devastating mental effects that were only contained thanks to a good shift in the city with a surprise silver guest, and a grounding hike/conversation with Bree
New quest unlocked: meet and befriend Henry, the other new fox in town, thanks again to Bree's outreach. Success!
Full of good intentions and unaware of what would come from it, Matti shared the matebond information with Yujin, and while this part went mostly smoothly, the deeper conversation that followed revealed many areas of incompatiblity that led him to abruptly end their nearly one year long relationship
The news that the skulk would happen could not come at a better time, onto more challenges! First one would be dealing with increased emotions, a double-edged sword
