History

1826-1840 - Model Pupil

Arianell was born in Cardiff, Wales, to a wealthy family. Middle child of five siblings, she was still the one calling the shots and mediating the conflicts in the group.
The Swanns were tutored at home, and she was the hardest-working of the bunch.
This was literally the only challenge in her life

1840-1853 - Rebellious Psychic

Her power of projection manifested once she turned 14.
While she didn't care much at first, it coincided with a period of questioning on her part, about what she wanted to do with her life.
Curiosity about what the other teens were about led her to spy on the village kids.
Other psychics noticed her.
She eventually started hanging out with them, hiding her real identity by fear of only being in the group for her family's money
But in fact they mostly liked her power
They wanted to spy on a very suspicious group of people, and they sent Arianell to scout it out
As she knew that her power wore her out less if she was closer to her projected destination, so she got close. Too close.
Delicious psychic scent lured some of the "people" out. Turns it they were vampires, and they nearly bled her out
One of them, who had managed to control himself and hadn't partaked in the blood buffet, fed her his own blood
She woke as a vampire
And made sure to never ever run into these "friends" that had put her in danger

1853-1912 - Live-in Nanny-Tutor Vampire

Her family accepted this transformation, while hiding it from the world
Arianell became the sole tutor of the family, her title changing from sister, to cousin, to aunt, as the Swann heir changed
All this time, feeding was easy: being a Swann servant was to agree on a fee blood donations
She developed a sense of "no feeding without consent"

1912-1988 - Across the Pond

Tensions in Europe led the family to sell the estate and move to the US
They had enough money to be spared by the Great Depression

1989-Today - I Have To Make Something By Myself

After so many years being looked after, and caring for her family, Arianell wanted something different
Thanks to night classes and the internet, she updated her knowledge and pursued a psychology degree
Moved out of her family's house, bought one for herself (with their money), and pays her other bills (by herself) as an online therapist
Still has to learn the ways of the world and stretch her legs

In game:

Meets Tilda who tells her about clutches, and then also meets Catrina, the leader. Arianell is curious about this, but unwilling to give up her newly found freedom just yet. She does feel guilty about it though!
A close call with the hunger could have gone terribly, but she was lucky enough to run into Grace, a psychic willing to exchange blood for money. This was the first time she tasted psychic blood.
While exploring the county, accidentally got into Alder Heights and had a discussion with someone claiming to be the territory itself. She calls this voice "Lady Eventide" and this encounter made her want to become worthy of joining a group.
While out hunting with Tilda, learns about suggestion and successfully uses it on a man. She had the choice of freeing his movements or making him forget them, and she picked the latter despite her morals.
Meeting Sylviane led to her draining someone to death :(
She was contemplating life when a chance meeting got her a boyfriend in the person of Iggy.
Joined Rhiannon Clutch in the summer of 2024 to learn how to be stronger, and she likes the people so far!
