History
  • First generation American born in San Francisco, second born to a couple from London whom met and had children later in life
  • Despite being younger, she often was looked to as the emotional support by both her elder sister and parents
  • Did well in school, as that was expected of her
  • Presented a prim and pleasant image, but harbored a twisted fascination with true crime and supernatural phenomena
  • Graduated at the top of her class, had potential to go to any college she wished and become a doctor or lawyer, but shocked everyone in her life by pursuing a degree in criminology, with a secondary in journalism
  • Spent the bulk of her twenties interviewing police, victims, and criminals alike and publishing for various different outlets
  • Wrote and published a book about a string of crimes that she believed to be supernatural in nature
  • Gathered a small fan base, the head of which was a man named David
  • David claimed to have once been an investigator, and reached out often to share his thoughts and opinions on her writing
  • They began to meet in person, then began to casually date
  • David was a vampire
  • She remembers the six months of their relationship in bits and pieces of truth
  • His sick game ended when she discovered him feeding on her roommate
  • She fled, and reported him to the police, but he had seemingly disappeared from existence by the time the police bothered to investigate
  • Traumatized and paranoid, Edith abandoned her work and moved in with her parents for a few years, and discovered in that time an incredible lack of support for the victims of supernatural crime
  • She entered law enforcement right before her twenty ninth birthday, determined to dedicate the rest of her life to helping people like her
  • Shuffled around California for a few years before landing a position of a lifetime in Ridgefield
  • Still green, but eager, she gladly accepts the tutelage of her assigned partner
