History
  • Born in Managua at the end of the Nicaraguan Revolution, life was always hard for Ridell and his mother. The only thing he knows of his father is that he fought in the war and was a brave man. He spent a lot of his childhood with his grandparents while his mother worked to provide for him, and it was easy for Ridell to escape their watchful eyes and try to make money in another way... pickpocketing people was so easy in such a big town, after all.
  • Petty crime escalated to more serious offenses.
  • One of his "friends" asked if he wanted something "very cool" for his 18th birthday.
  • A lizard bite was not in his definition of cool, but he rolled with it. Being a were did make some crimes easier.
  • But also made him prone to make terrible mistakes, such as accidentally killing his friend.
  • His mother maanged to take the fall for him, to give him a better chance at life -- and her savings, to send him to school.
  • For once, he listened.
  • He was a few years late in school, but worked twice as hard to graduate, and eventually left his country to go to Florida after learning enough English to be able to study law there.
  • And meet the lovely Yara Flores
  • He meant to treat her right.
  • But accidentally shifted in a very stressful exam period, and bit her. The human part of his brain still claims it was an accident, but the dragon part was feeling a bit lonely.
  • He helped her and gave her space in the last years.
  • But enough is enough.
  • He found her, and aligned his plans accordingly.
Relationships
  • Yara Flores — College girlfriend, he turned her and she eventually left. He earned a second chance here in Ridgefield. Together forever now.
