Hydrokinesis: As a former high school swimmer, Flynn was more surprised at having developed powers rather that what it actually was. Controlling water made it obvious to him that firefighting should be his new job. His focus is on directing existing water and avoiding collateral damage, but he's trying to also change its temperature and assemble it from the air. As of April 2024, he started having a hint of a grasp at ice.
Side effects always start with a dry mouth, then escalate all the way to dehydration. In most extreme cases, fever will overtake him to the point that blisters can develop on his skin.
Bestowal: In May of 2024 a seemingly normal power practice turned into the awakening of Bestowal. He has no idea, and he got confused as well. Likely side effects to expect will be forgetting stuff, and then forgetting he forgot it. As of April 2025, he is now aware of (and underwhelmed about) this ability.

History

Ridgefield native, married young and lived a perfectly normal accountant life
Until the day psychic powers manifested themselves
He didn’t choose them, but felt like it had to MEAN something
So he quit his job and started the firefighting training
His wife was not supportive of all this supernatural and upheaval in their lives, filed for divorce and left the state
Their sons (now 20 and 14) thought all that (except the divorce itself) was “super cool” and decided “dads before mads”, whatever that meant

In game:

Flynn is navigating his job and his powers in a fairly satisfactory way
Encouraged by Skyler, his oldest son, he signs up for the psychic tournament
It proves to be too much and he concedes early on in this match. This had been weighting on his mind a lot
Both his sons decided to go try the "mom life" and left him alone in that big house
While trying to find people to practice with, came across Jordan's ad and meets her at the psychic party
Also meets Agostina and Oscar at the party, with whom he gets along. Possible practice together has been mentioned, he intends to follow through
Finally decides to put the basement room up for rent after months of having a silent house. A certain Asha is the first and only one to visit the house and they sign for a year starting March 2024
A chance encounter with a self proclaimed "water demon" leads to his schooling in the element use, to some promising beginnings
In the summer of 2024, a pact was formed with Agostina and Oscar
They barely got to practice scanning people that health issues made Agostina no longer part of the pact
Flynn and Oscar are now looking for new friends to fill in the pact
