History
cw: mental health/self-harm

Holly was always considered a perfect angel growing up. Often looked at by their parents as an example for her younger siblings, she discovered she had a natural gift for singing even before she was gifted with acoustics. Her razor-sharp memory and detail-oriented brain made it easy to learn lines and songs. She often threw herself into music at her parents’ insistence.

Developed her first power at age thirteen when she was singing in a choir for a Christmas show. Deafened the chorus around her during her solo and promptly fainted from a lack of oxygen. Her parents were so proud.

After then everything became about music. No time for friends. Boys. It was music or die, and oftentimes the pressure sent her reeling emotionally and mentally. She tried to be the big protective sister she could between opera rehearsals and shows but often fell short. It was all just too much.

Her teenage years were spent primarily on stage while honing her ability so she could perform and use it safely. Perfection was key for Holly. If she fell too short on anything, she took it out on herself in private, often cutting to ease the pain. She still has scars on her thighs and doesn’t wear short shorts in summer. She’s never told anyone about this, especially her family.

Got a scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music where she studied and trained in Classical Voice, specifically in opera theatre. Tried to make it on Broadway, but just couldn’t cut it. Went the indie opera theatre route in New York instead. Started on anti-depressants which helped for a while. Travelled with her talents around North America, coming back to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to be near family when she could.

Had a difficult time when Hadley was kicked out, and feels guilty for not searching for him more when they all thought they were a missing person. Feels responsible for not being more present for her siblings after she left home for school. Feels guilty about her parents using much of their resources and time to make her dreams (or theirs?) come true. Pressure leads to depression and anxiety and the cycle of self-hatred continues for a little while until she digs herself back out.

Plagued recently by hallucinations, often when her emotions are heightened, Holly feels herself beginning to unravel again. During a recent performance in Boston where her travels took her last, she had to leave the stage after conjuring a nightmarish illusion so strong the audience could see it. She has since been replaced by her understudy and has learned that one of her siblings is in Colorado. Seeking refuge someplace new while she gets her new, unruly power under control, she lands at an inn in Hawknell in January 2023.

In game:
- Learns Hadley is also in town during an emotional lunch with her siblings at The Terrace.
- Gets a job working at Franklin's in Rice Bluff.
- Eventually moves in (temporarily) with her brother, Hunter in Rice Bluff until she can find her own place.
- Goes on a few dates with Newton Ellison, a werewolf! They smooch once and she gets infected in February 2023.
- Newt puts it together roughly five days before the March full moon and Holly has to either tell her siblings or continue keeping them in the dark. She tells Hadley first, then Hunter after the first full moon.
- Holly finds a sublet in Rice Bluff not far from her brother's place.
- Suddenly meets a lot of wolves in various places but sort of doesn't want anything to do with them. :(
- Things go south with Newton after shifting in his apartment. She is pawned off on Dakila and that's fun! (Because of Holly, Dakila's great, really)
- Holly quits her job at Franklin's until she can get better control of the wolf.
- Works things out with Newt and now they're dating, much to the chagrin of Hadley and Hunter.
- Holly's brother, Harry, arrives in town, summoned by their younger brother, Hunter. Holly meets with him for her birthday and catches up.
- Holly and Newt shift together at Pine Peak in July for the full moon and it's goes well until Holly gets in her head. Newt helps her climb back out with an offer of putting her in touch with other wolves.
- Holly meets Dallas Montana at Ridgefield Planetarium. He tells her about the place maybe belonging to a vampire group, and she shifts outside. Dallas calls Dakila for her, who forces her to shift back, while Beauregard Bertrand, the vampire leader, watches over everything. The next morning, she has a good talk with Dakila, feeling a bit better about wolf things.
- Holly meets with Newt after her returns from his trip to Parker and realizes she has feelings for him. Doesn't say anything! He has a headache! He does invite her to stay with him temporarily while she looks for a new place for September.
- Starts busking to save up some money while looking for new apartments. Finds a place in Rice Bluff. It's pretty great.
- Tells Newt she loves him on the way back to his apartment from his work one night. Oops. It's awkward.
- Auditions for a role as a singer at the casino in Camp Baron and bombs it after bombing a first meeting with Sayed Moussa.
- Meets with Dakila for breakfast to thank him and ends up joining Pyrite Hollow Pack.
- Moves into her new rental in Rice Bluff on August 28th, 2023.
- Starts working at Outlaw Moon as a bartender after reaching out to Dakila about it.
- Literally runs into Rocco Giosuè Mariano at midnight outside Compass Logistics and learns he's a vampire. Offers help.
Other

- Knows bits and pieces of different languages outside English because of her opera career: French, Italian, Spanish.
- Singing voice is similar to Marianne Crebassa. Holly's a mezzo-soprano.
- Holly's sublet in Rice Bluff until August 28, 2023.
- Holly's new rental in Rice Bluff, starting August 28, 2023.

Old Psychic powers and their effects for record-keeping:
First power: Acoustics
- Holly is an opera singer who uses her acoustics ability to their fullest potential for her performances.
- She can project her voice perfectly to the back of any auditorium without harming people standing close to her.
- Side effects include: losing too much air, to the point of passing out or even having fatal consequences if used for too long in one day. So while she has learned to use it in her singing, she only uses it for those prolonged high notes. If there’s a matinee and an evening, she’ll save her power for the evening show. Often needs a day to recharge between performances if she overuses the power.

Second power: Illusion
- Tied to her emotions
- Prevents her from being able to perform right now since her emotions are heightened on stage
- Causing her to unravel mentally and physically, a chip in the perfect facade she’s curated all her life
- Side effects include: losing her voice completely for up to 1d24 hours, which affects her singing career immensely, as well as mental/physical fatigue and negatively impacts her depression to the point where she finds it hard to do anything for up to several days at a time.
- No control over this new power (yet).
