Childhood wasn't happy; it was hard. Mom was out of the picture. Dad did the best he could but had to focus on her older siblings constantly messing things up.

Did her best in school, but never got the support she really needed. Smart enough to figure things out, but not smart enough to stand out.

Lived most of her teen years flying under the radar. Dad died when she turned 20. Tried to make things work on her own, but struggled. Did sex work on the side, which is how she contracted the polar bear. After, she managed to get into a group and work on herself, getting her bartending license.

Never settled in properly with the group and split when she was able to. Got her money to take her as far away as it could, which landed her in Rice Bluff.
