Occasionally dyes her hair blonde to hide her greys. Her hair is always a little untidy, and usually in a ponytail while she's teaching. Often has that, I woke up late for work and rushed here kinda feel, you know?
Wears a lot of neutral colours. Some blues to bring out her eyes.
Always looks a little tired, often with bags under her eyes.
Usually teaches with a cup of coffee attached to her hand.

Personality

Forever exhausted, forever over your shit.
Very blunt about her feelings.
Often says things she regrets later.
Despite what some may believe, Rose really does love teaching.
Is stern with her students, but treats them with respect.
Lives in Alder Heights but hates the hustle and bustle. Complains about it daily but does nothing about it.
Still has dreams to become a star but knows that likely won't happen. This thought sometimes keeps her up at night.
Has never been into the idea of marketing herself, often finds other actors exhausting.
Doesn’t know much about the supernatural, nor does she really care to. She’s got bigger fish to fry anyway. Like paying her bills on time.
Her desire to act comes from a deep need to be admired and accepted but you'd never catch Rose admitting this aloud... even to herself.
Enjoys reading contemporary plays in her spare time. Has never cared much for the Bard, but you do you.

History

Born November 25th, 1972 in Alameda, Colorado.
Grew up in a single-parent household with her mother. Her father was never in the picture. It's always been a sore spot for Rosemarie but she often avoids talking about it.
Rose's relationship with her mother, Diane, was rocky at the best of times. Her mother was a stern woman who expected perfection from Rose, right up until the day she died. She never approved of Rosemarie's career choice, and even though it came from a place of wanting security for her daughter, it still hurt. Rose always thought she'd make it big and would be able to prove her mother wrong but she never got the chance. Her mother died of a brain aneurysm when Rosemarie was 30.
Realized she could act when she was young and got a part in the school play. Acting has always been a form of therapy for her, both in productive ways and not. She became dependent on the high she got from performing in live shows to the point where she became obsessed with landing that next big role.
When Rosemarie was 18, she left Colorado to move to LA for pilot season.
She managed to snag a few small roles in commercials, tv shows and plays over her years spent there but nothing big. Worked in a lot of restaurants during this time to pay the bills, your classic struggling artist.
Met her first husband, David, on set during one TV show when she was in her twenties. They got married a year after they started dating. They fought a lot. It all came to a halt when Rose discovered he was cheating.
Crushed by her experience in LA, Rosemarie moved back to Alameda when she was 26 after her divorce and applied to school.
Got both her college degree and masters in theatre performance. Is still paying off her student loans.
Started teaching theatre classes for adults to help pay the bills.
A position opened up at Alder Heights College in the theatre department when she was in her early to mid-thirties. She applied and, to her surprise, got the job. Teaches theatre, specifically acting classes based on more modern acting techniques, also teaches students how to direct scenes and plays.
She met her second husband, Raúl, also faculty, during her first year of teaching. They got married a little while later.
Her second marriage ended when she was 39. He wanted kids, and she realized she didn't. They remain friends to this day.
Isn’t interested in getting married a third time.
A couple of years ago, Rosemarie started teaching acting classes for film and TV, in an effort to expand her teaching range and pay off her debts.
Is currently thinking of bringing the Fringe Festival to Ridgefield, but needs to work out the details.
