-Born and raised on an olive farm in San Casciano, Italy.
-Home schooled by an Italian father and Italian-American mother, and had six siblings.
-Worked on the olive farm with his siblings until he was old enough to attend college.
-Attacked in the summer before he was scheduled to move to Florence and attend school, by a cheetah that had chosen his family’s land to shift on.
-Having been abandoned by the one who changed him, he was left to figure it out for himself.
-Made the decision to leave home in fear of harming his family.
-Lost it for a bit and lived in a tiny little house in the mountains, surviving mostly off of what the cat ate when he shifted and the small amount of money he’d saved.
-A Coalition that occupied a nearby town found him during a full moon, and took him into the fold the next morning. They taught him what he was, and he traveled with them for the next nine years.
-The Coalition settled at one point in a small town, and a Pack of Wolves that claimed the city decided that they felt threatened. Instead of talking it out, the decided to attack the Coalition when they group was having a get together.
-They attacked with silver weapons, and killed three of Mathis’ Coalition mates in the midst of their shifts.
-While he was attacked, he was able to finish his shift and gather enough strength to flee.
-Reunited with the Coalition’s Prince, and managed to get back in to town to grab his belongings before making the decision to part ways and grieve alone.
-Mathis lived alone for another year, and recouped. Picked up pottery, got a name for himself, but ultimately decided to move to America in attempt to start fresh.

-Joined a Coalition in Reignhart, and eventually came to be the Second.
-When the Coalition’s Queen abandoned them in early 2020, Mathis reorganized the group and relocated it to Alameda, taking on the responsibility of King for Sparrow Kiln Coalition.
-Suffered a brain injury during a spar in 2022. It caused a sudden and inexplicable shift in Mathis' personality, and he pretty much annihilated his whole life.
-Got arrested in 2023 and disbanded the group.
-Got unturned by Glitter Bomb Pact on his 40th birthday in 2024

• Frank Beringer — Mathis' ex fiancé. They met in 2018, and got engaged on New Years Eve of 2019. They lived together for many years and even had a dog together. They decided to end their relationship in January of 2023
• Charlie Major — Former member of Sparrow Kiln Coalition. One of Mathis' longest term friends.
• Isolde Casarez — Former member of Sparrow Kiln Coalition. One of Mathis' longest term friends.
• Antony, Mahnaz, Lyra and Noah — All former members of Sparrow Kiln Coalition
• Asha Rao — Frank's former Queen, and Mathis' former semi-ally. At Fight Night, 2022, Mathis and Asha sparred, and she unknowingly inflicted the brain injury that caused a large personality shift in Mathis. As of 2024, Mathis regards her as a potential friend, as she is the one who introduced him to the possibility of being unturned.
