Power/Animal Description Plant Manipulation:

Cat first discovered this ability after her family moved from her home in the Highlands to Colorado when she was angrily pulling out weeds in her mum's garden.
At first she shied away from using her ability, afraid that others might find out, and afraid of what she could do.
It was only after finding out there were others like her that Catriona began to embrace her power, working on honing her skills and seeing what else she can accomplish.
Unfortunately using them comes with a cost, often resulting in nausea and migraines so intense, Cat has a difficult time doing anything for a couple of days other than laying in the dark.

Shielding:

This ability was discovered in the park at the end of May 2021 after pushing a man who grabbed her.
She still doesn't know what it is, nor what happened. Side effects are yet to be truly discovered but may involve extreme tiredness, to the point of passing out.

Toxikinesis:

This ability was discovered in the swamp at the end of March 2022 after accidentally ingesting some death camas, thinking it was wild onion.
Side effects so far include hives starting with her hands and working their way up her arms to the rest of her body, depending on the amount of magic used. If used for prolonged periods of time, Cat may experience nausea and vomiting on top of hives.

Metaphysical Ability:

Whenever Cat taps into the metaphysical world around another person that isn't human, she gets a chill that runs down her entire spine, as if someone walked over her grave.

Cat's red hair is generally a little dishevelled in appearance as if she walked through a windstorm on the way to work.
Her clothes never match, and she often finds moth holes in her favourite shirts.
The stranger the article of clothing, the better, in her opinion.
Wears a lot of horror or band t-shirts found at used clothing stores.

Personality

Before she realized her ability, Cat didn't care much about what others thought of her. Now she has a harder time dealing with the fact that other people might be afraid of her.
Gets excited when she meets another psychic.
Is wary of vampires but her opinion is slowly changing to be more positive.
Has always loved movies, especially horror.
Her favourite day of the year is Halloween.
Often has a hard time motivating herself to try new things.
Constantly bored at her job but likes that she gets to skate on her break.
Feels a little "stuck" in her life choices.
She's always loved plants, even before she was a psychic.

History

Cat and her parents moved to Hawknell from Inverness, Scotland, shortly after her seventeenth birthday.
Her mum, Mary, is a painter and curator, and her father, Duncan, is a writer.
She was always considered a bit of a misfit growing up but it never really bothered her until she came to America and discovered her powers.

Used to want to be a screenwriter. Now her interest lies in working with plants, though she can't get herself to leave her post at Sk8 City.
Is set on forming a roller derby team.

IN-GAME HISTORY
2021:

Cat meets Heather Hill, who she becomes fast friends with and the two eventually decide to try and start a pact.
Meets Grace Lee, who tells her more about vamps and shifters.
Cat meets bear shifter, Indra Mehta, on a blind date. The two hit it off for a little but decide to remain friends at a distance. Indra informs her of many things about vampires and weres in the area, which Catriona goes on to tell Grace Lee. They inform the psychic network of what they know in two mass texts.
Cat is unknowingly attacked and fed off of by Tikanni Calder outside Estrella. She has no memory of the evening except waking up a little drunk in the alley with a dog. She now suspects she was attacked by a vampire.
She meets a lot of psychics at Psychic Party 2021 in Graupel Canyon. Finds out the guy she has a crush on, Kidd Slater, is also a psychic.
Cat is attacked by Sayed Moussa and Zaharia Cel-Tradat at Spookyfest in October. Sayed feeds off her, causes her to be unable to move for twenty-four hours and Zara erases her memory. She tells Heather of what happened the next day after being discharged from the hospital and the two suspect a vampire was responsible. Cat begins to lose morale a bit.
Grows a little stronger magically. Is able to raise a small tree out from the ground but fails at replanting it. Loses a bet to Kidd and treats him to dinner.
Cat meets earthbending psychic, Ruby Hughes. Convinces Ruby and Avienne Bellamy to join her and Heather in forming a pact.

2022:

For reasons unknown to Catriona, Indra is no longer speaking to her. She ends their friendship at The Waffle Palace.
Cat is attacked by Calliope MacAsgaill at Cobalt Ridge while she's in bear form. Cat fends off the werebear, reaches out to Indra, who comes to her aid before he is killed by Levka Orlovsky. This event still haunts her, and she's trying her best to recover from it.
