Animal Appearance He's a grizzly bear but he's got white fur! No one is sure why. His parents, who were changed when he was a child, were not fans of his bear's coloration. It made him really like it when it snows though, and thankfully he is not an albino.

The bear himself is perpetually young at heart and fairly playful even if he's slowed down some, but often finds himself shy and unsure around lady bears.
Tumasi dresses for his mood and wherever his day takes him, but finds himself equally comfortable and capable in anything; from outdoorsy type clothes to fancy suits. What does it matter when you're a bear anyway?
Pessimistic, realistic, cynical. Often says he's tired when he's not. Likes to get important things done before doing the things he'd like to do. Big on naps. Avoids brawls in human form. Old bones and all.

Despite this he does have a more amiable side. He likes the outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoys sharing food and drinks. He likes going to museums. He likes seeing movies, especially independent films.

He can be a friend if he allows himself to consider himself one.
Tumasi is a recently retired quarryman, looking for simpler work. Just stuff to pass the time, really.

He was born far, far north in Canada, in Igloolik, Nunavut.

When his parents turned twenty-five, they chose to become bears by their shaman. When he turned twenty-five, he also chose to become a bear by the same shaman.

He turned into a white bear, and no one was sure why. He was not a polar bear. Just a rare bear. His parents still loved him, but grimaced at his appearance. The bears of the tribe learned to accept him.

The tribe modernized. He worked various jobs. His parents introduced him to a human woman of the neighboring tribe. They liked each other. He turned her against her will a few years into their marriage, but he hadn't meant to. He didn't even shift for it. They'd had two children before this.

She never forgave him, but her bear matebonded to his. So she learned to love him, even if she was always still angry deep in her heart.

A hunter shot her fourteen years after. He could not deal with the grief and began to drift away, further south.

Moved many times around Canada. Remarried eventually. Took up quarrying eventually. Made it through the Canadian Rockies into the United States. She left him when she found out what he was. He was in his early fifties then.

Moved many times around the States. Retired. Moved north of Ridgefield county. Still takes up odd jobs.
This was once Fao's only Cobalt Ridge Adoptable and she wanted a grizzly bear because all the CR bears are white so I did what I had to and made him a white grizzly bear. The model for his bear is a real leucistic grizzly who lives in Banff.
