Her eyes go from a dark brown to taffy pink when she uses her ability. Generally she's dressed very relaxed, having grown into casual wear through the centuries. When she does wear jewelry, she opts for things like seashell or bead accents rather than expensive gemstones.

Looks soft. Isn't not soft. But kind of isn't soft. But also plays to her looks. Actually kind of playful in general. But also kind of a manipulator. But a nice one! Kind of a prankster. Very comfortable with her ability. Are these two things connected? Mmmaaaaayyyyyb- yes.

1488 - 1527
• grew up in a tribe of about thirty people who called themselves Abá

• ate mostly vegetarian except when it was time to consume warriors from antagonistic tribes; knew how to work the land

• had an informal marriage to a warrior of the tribe and had one son by him; never conceived again for reasons known only to her! :)

• knew three friends of hers who were weres (a beaked threadsnake, a margay, and a jacaré); they all held a sacred place amongst the tribe, and sacrifices were made to them first.

• someone she didn't interact with much in the tribe one day messed up in feeding on her one night and ended up changing her instead :(


1527 - 2020
• the woman who changed her stole her from the tribe, renamed her Mainumbí, and raised her through it, teaching her how to hide from the sun and feed from people and animals at night; they did not know that animal feeding did nothing for them, only that human feeding strengthened them better.

• she had a small group of other women like them and they called themselves Abá-Jasy, or people of the moon. She learned that they were calmest when the moon was visible, but when there was no moon, they were prone to going insane, and were required to stay inside while their stronger members brought back people and animals to drink from.

• when the Portuguese arrived and began to convert and intermarry with her people, Mainumbí married some of the men and killed them if they proved unsatisfactory.

• when the Spaniards came and made everything so much worse, she participated in a few raids, but mostly found herself moving further from civilization and wandering around the continent.

• she passed through the centuries in little moves here and there, passing through more civilized areas when she felt like it, learning how things had changed from what she knew, often for the worse.

• she learned how to tame animals so she could feed from them when needed, but also so they could be their friends. She learned it was her magic.

• passed much of her life doing small jobs here and there, or charming men into eloping with her so she could live off them for a while. Whenever they asked too much about her, she erased their memories or killed them and moved on.

• arrived in America in the 1960s and has largely been doing her thing here. Settled just outside of the Ridgefield area around 1997. Learned she was known as a "vampire" in 2001. Didn't like the word much, but knows to go by it. Moved to Hawknell in 2020.
