Stocky, but massive. Uh, for a BFC. Eight whole pounds at least.
Rounded ears, spotted back, stripy legs and tail, black foots. Whole deal.
Glares and flattens ears pretty well by default. Emotes displeasure really well, and always seems displeased.
Appearance
Nothing fancy, Shane usually wears a flannel shirt tucked into plain jeans, and sturdy work boots. In colder months a thermal top or turtleneck will (mostly) hide beneath the button-down, and it's not impossible to catch him in a simple white tee at the height of summer. If going somewhere fancier, he'll commemorate the occasion by fastening his top button. Swanky. Darkish hair is kept at a neat medium length. Manageable. Combed to the side and back usually. A bit disheveled after a long day of chorin'. His thick beard is kept short and neat. Ruggedly dignified, someone once called it.
Personality
Raised with pragmatic, dutiful values, it shows in the care with which Shane tends his land. While not opposed to a good bit of fun when the work's done, he's mostly quiet and disciplined when there's something to be accomplished. If asked he'd say he keeps an open mind, but could accurately be called a skeptic. Maybe there are monsters. He hasn't seen any. Doesn't much matter for his day to day. Yeah, he's a housecat now. Yay. Tries to remain confident that if he works hard, keeps his head, and treats people right, everything will be fine. Fights happen and he's ready to defend himself and what he believes in, but it's generally a matter of principle rather than temper. Trying to adjust, figure out this new life while holding onto what he can of the old. Doesn't feel he's doing a very good job of it.
History
It's really not been that exciting a ride so far. Honestly that's fine by him, and Shane's always been largely content with his lot. Born and raised in rural Hollowstone things have largely been consistent and predictable. Losing his dad to lung cancer was... rough, but he was old enough to take over the farm when it happened and has settled into the mostly solitary role in the five years since. As far as he can tell, he's on track to follow in the old man's footsteps in another forty or sixty years. Has cut back to one or two smokes an evening, though. Really gunning for the sixty end of that scale.
Got scratched. Things have gotten complicated. He's... figuring it out.
