Dr. Richard Nym is a tall man standing at six feet and four inches. His hair is a thick inky black with some natural wave that he tames with copious amounts of hair gel. Not that he'd admit that. His skin is pale with the occasional tan depending on where his travels take him. Richard's eyes are a cool steel blue that holds a sharp intelligence. He walks with a purpose in his stride, head held high with his unflinching pride.

• { 1976 - 1986 } - Born the only child to Emalee & Howard Nym. He grew up in a lavish home relatively spoilt until his mother died of mysterious circumstances. His father became increasingly distant essentially abandoning his only son by the time he was ten.
• { 1987 - 1991 } - Richard spent most of his time with a nanny and his school work. His intellect allowed him to rise through the school system quite quickly. At the age of fifteen, he was accepted into Yale.
• { 1991 - 2002 } - From 1991 to 2002 Richard spent his time in classes. He achieved a minor in Mythology, a bachelor's in Psychology, a Masters in Religion, and his Doctorate in Anthropology. A total of nearly twelve years in school. During his time in school, he married his wife Yvette in 2000 and together they had one daughter named Gabrielle.
• { 2002 - 2015 ) - In mid-2002 Richard was moved over to his father's company which he promptly sold. He had no need for the type of business his father ran. Instead, he founded his own business The Nym Institute dedicated to research on several topics. It was in 2002 that he began his career as a paranormal investigator.
• { 2015 - Present } - In 2015 Dr.Nym's wife went missing under the same mysterious circumstances as his mother. Her disappearance made him estranged from his teenage daughter who blamed him for Yvette's disappearance. Gabrielle ran away to live with her mother's parents effectively disowning Richard for not trying harder to find Yvette. Richard has since then put more effort into his research walling himself away from others that don't deal with his business directly.
