Animal Appearance This jaguar is on the smaller side and while she is still graceful, she may move a little slower than her younger counterparts. Graying around her muzzle betrays her age, but she is otherwise well-groomed and stately.
Appearance
Esfir dresses sensibly and modestly, but does look quite stylish for her age. Much of her attire is in jewel tones and silky fabrics, reminiscent of her homeland’s attire. Loves jewelry and takes special care to keep her various piercing holes open. She wears a sharp silver hair pin - sharp enough to hurt - that's wrapped in soft leather. In general it's artfully twined into her hair in such a way that it does not touch her scalp. When her hair isn’t up, she keeps it in her purse. She also carries a cane - she doesn't often need it, but it belonged to her late husband.

She is a mildly stuck were - her eyes don’t need to go far to match her jaguars and her canines are sharper than normal. She is, however, also very vain and the moment she discovered this was a side effect, did her best to curb any further strain.

Personality
Shrewd, deeply caring, hard-working, penny-pinching, supple-minded, vain, a bit old-world at times
History
- Born in Iran, married and had 2 children young

- On her 18th birthday, she was scratched by a brother-in-law who’d been turned by were-jaguars while working as a journalist in South America.

- After she turned, and the two ran afoul of local leopards, her husband nobly chose to be infected by his brother as well, in order to protect his wife and family. They managed to keep this from their children, but this was no longer possible after they discovered their later children would be born as weres.

- The family fled from Iran to the US during the Iranian Revolution. At the time, they did not realize it would be fairly non-violent, but decided to stay in the US during the subsequent oil crisis. They also stayed because the population of jaguars was greater in the Americas.

- Though they were a mixed family of humans and weres found and thrived alongside a jaguar community in New Mexico.

- Esfir’s husband worked as a software engineer, making a decent living while Esfir raised their children.

- Swept up in the American Dream, the woman worked hard to make herself both educated and successful. She became involved in both the jaguar communities and her neighborhood while working part time jobs. Using what money she earned, she went to college and earned a culinary degree with a minor in business. Finally she was able to open her own restaurant and spent many happy days running it with her family.

- Throughout all this, she became quite shrewd in supernatural dealings. Having always honored and trusted the man, she did what she could to follow in her husband’s footsteps, though she became rather cutthroat in order to protect those closest to her.

- Eventually, both of Esfir’s children married and moved away and the couple settled in for retirement, planning to simply manage the restaurant and travel. However, in a sad turn of fate, during a trip back to Iran, Esfir’s husband and brother-in-law were killed by the local were-leopards for an unknown slight.

- After the funeral, Esfir sold and moved from her home to make a fresh start of it. She bought a small place in Ridgefield and has found a smattering of work as a chef at various high end establishments. However, she is looking for a way to grow closer to the supernatural community in Ridgefield and establish her new home.
