The next day, Morgan suited up like she had somewhere to be. It'd been a while since she felt a purpose. She left the sling in the car, looking to draw a little less attention on her rounds. She looped her left thumb into the belt loop to support the shoulder. The pose looked natural enough and also showed off the shield on her hip. That dissuaded questions.
Ashley lost a lot of blood and Morgan only realized just how much her healer lost once she was home and her head cleared. Bless Ashley, but it felt a dangerous amount of blood, and when they went for round two, Morgan needed to mitigate that.
This was the third hospital in the greater Ridgefield area she hit up, and she had a handful more on her list. She found whatever staff or hospital announcement billboards she could—and postings like this were probably against hospital policy—but Morgan figured they'd be up long enough to get one or two takers. She'd go from there.
